This is the perfect combination to add to your daily beverages, or when you start to feel under the weather.
Ginger, lemon and honey tea is a healing beverage often used to help relieve cold and flu symptoms. All of these ingredients have their own natural medicinal qualities and when they are combined, they create a calming and relaxing tea that can ease symptoms and boost your immune system.
Helps alleviate Nausea~
Ginger has proven anti-nausea properties, and is frequently recommended to help alleviate upset stomachs that result from motion sickness, pregnancy, or even from cancer treatments. Ginger can also help reduce feelings of dizziness or the desire to vomit. Ginger has also been known to reduce the feeling of nausea, aches and cramps associated with menstruation.
Helps fight the common cold and flu, and gives you Respiratory relief~
Ginger and honey both can provide some relief from certain respiratory ailments, including sore throats, coughs, runny nose and congestion. Honey can help soothe a sore throat, while ginger’s anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce inflammation in the throat. Ginger also has anti-microbial properties that can help prevent the likelihood of further infection when your immune system is already working overtime to fight off a cold or a flu. Not only is ginger flavorful, it is packed with a punch and should be in everyone’s kitchen year round.
Great source of Vitamin C~
Lemon, is a citrus fruit, and a great source of naturally occurring vitamin C. When you’re feeling under the weather, or you think you’re feeling the onset of a cold or flu, lemon juice can provide that extra boost to your immune system. Lemon also has an amazing way of making your skin look vibrant and refreshed.
~ two cups of purified filtered water/boiled
~1 tsp of raw honey~ you could add a little more if you like. ( I like this one)
~1/2 of a fresh squeezed lemon, or more if you like( Place a couple lemon peels within too)
~ cut about 1 tsp of fresh ginger in chucks
Place all ingredients in a cup large enough to hold everything. Let sit for about a 5-10 minutes. Enjoy this healing cup of heaven.
You can also leave out the ginger and just do lemon and honey:)
